City of Pinellas Park Ranks Among Top 50 Cities to Start a Small Business Nationwide

PINELLAS PARK – In a recent report published by Site Selection Magazine, which examined communities with populations below 75,000 across the US, Pinellas Park was identified as one of the best small towns to launch a small business.

According to the sixth annual ranking of the Best Small Cities for Small Business, courtesy of VerizonSpecials.com, there are six factors used to determine success. These include:

    Growing population.

    Highly educated workforce.

    Labor-friendly commute times.

    Favorable tax climate.

    Easy access to capital.

    Widespread broadband access.

“We are all extremely excited about this ranking - for small businesses are truly the backbone of our community.” said Bart Diebold, City Manager for the City of Pinellas Park. “As our Mayor and City Council continue to pursue economic growth, the City of Pinellas Park is thoughtfully redeveloping with priorities that include high quality infrastructure, reasonable tax climate and efficient processes that will get businesses open and operating as soon as possible.” concluded Diebold.
