In 2007, the Florida Legislature amended the state statutes to replace references to “Occupational License” to read "Business Tax Receipt" and the term "Occupational License Fee" was amended to read "Business Tax Receipt."
Who needs a Business Tax Receipt?
Any person doing business in Pinellas Park, even a one-person company or home-based business owner, needs a Business Tax Receipt. You need a Business Tax Receipt for each location you are operating your business from, and one for each category of business you are conducting.

There are three ways to pay for a new Business Tax Receipt:

- Once you have logged into your account, click "Dashboard" to find and pay your invoice

Do I need to register a business name?
The registration of a business name is required if you use or advertise as any Business name other than your Full Legal Name. If you choose to use only your first name, last name, nickname, initials, or any alternate Business name you must register this name with the state at www.sunbiz.org.

- Go to the City of Pinellas Park's online business tax payment service by clicking here
- Click "Login or Register"
- If you have an online account, please log in
- If you do not have an account, create an account by clicking "Register" and following the prompts
- Once you have logged into your account, click "Dashboard"
- Go to "My License" located at the bottom of the page and click "renew"
- Go through the process of payment like normal
