Blast off to adventure this summer!  Join us for free lunch and out of this world stories, games, and crafts.  Magic Tree House on the Moon?  American Girl?  Alien In My Pocket?  We have them all!  We will explore a new outer space story every week with new activities each day.

Free lunch for kids and teens is provided by Pinellas County Schools personnel as part of the Summer Breakspot program.

Summer BreakSpot provides nutritious meals at no cost to any child 18 and under while school is out for the summer.  No ID required, no paperwork, no questions asked.

Please note: 1 meal served per child; first-come, first-served so no meal reservations offered; no to-go meals offered - lunches must be eaten in the designated meal area during the advertised meal time. All rules per United States Department of Agriculture.

Join us as we share The Alien Next Door: The New Kid, one of the 2019-2020 Sunshine State Jr. books.  After we read an excerpt from the book, enjoy hands on games and activities that bring the book to life!  Enter a raffle at the program to get a chance to win a copy of the book that will be on everyone's reading list for grades K-2.  

Reading the book before coming is not required.

The library is a HOOT at night!  Children are invited to wear pajamas and bring a blanket and favorite cuddly toy for outer space stories, and guitar sing-alongs. Leave your stuffed animals at the library and library staff will take them on an out of this world slumber party! They will explore space books, play galactic games and take a rocket trip to the moon. Come anytime on Thursday, June 20th to pick up your stuffed animal with lots of fun photos of their space adventure!

Work together using LEGO® WeDo 2.0 kits to learn how to build and program a robot!  Make a sound machine, dancing robot, explore space, and much more!  Design robots using the same materials that are used in the World Robot Olympiad and First LEGO® League Jr.
