Pinellas Park Firefighter of the Year

Please join us in congratulating Lt. William Weaver as the Pinellas Park Fire Department’s Firefighter of the Year!

Lieutenant Weaver began his career with Pinellas Park in 2007 as a Firefighter/EMT and is a member of the technical rescue team, an instructor for the firefighter apprenticeship program, commander of the department’s honor guard, and member of the Pinellas Park Firefighter’s Benevolent Committee.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2019 and has completed all requirements for Acting District Chief. Lt. Weaver was awarded Firefighter of the Year in 2010 and received the department’s Life Saving Medal of Valor in 2018. He currently supervises the A-Shift crew at Pinellas Park Fire Station 34. 

The Firefighter of the Year award is presented to an individual who has given selflessly of themselves in support of the department and the community. Recipients of the award have demonstrated the dedication, loyalty, productivity and professionalism that reflects the highest standards of the Pinellas Park Fire Department.

Congratulations to Lt. Weaver and to the nominees:  Chris Clayton, Lt. Chris Riley, Derek Twardowski, and Riley Brennan.
