Lockheed Martin Generously Donates

Lockheed Martin Donates to Angel Fund

PINELLAS PARK – Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the Pinellas Park Angel Fund has provided fifty-three households with nearly $40,000 in financial assistance to offset the costs of delinquent rent/mortgage and utility payments. Further, children are actively participating in summer camp programs thanks to the Angel Fund.

Lockheed Martin, a global security and aerospace company practicing corporate social responsibility, has generously donated to the Pinellas Park Angel Fund in an effort to help local families and children in the community during these unprecedented times.

“The Pinellas Park Angel Fund provides vital support to families in our community who are struggling, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Lindsay Muth, general manager of Lockheed Martin’s Pinellas operations. “We are committed to strengthening the quality of life in the communities where we live and work through partnerships with local nonprofits and volunteerism.”

“The generous amount of $2,500 from Lockheed Martin will allow families relief from bills that continue to stack up,” said Tammy Hillier, Pinellas Park’s Angel Fund Coordinator. “Partnerships that advocate for the well-being of our citizens will be the cornerstone in overcoming the negative impacts of COVID-19,” Hillier concluded.

“The City of Pinellas Park is extremely grateful that we have been able to help many of those impacted by the Covid- 19 pandemic. This includes local small businesses through our business relief fund and residents through our Angel Fund program. This assistance was made possible not only by grant programs, but by hometown heroes like Lockheed Martin and many others who have personally donated to help those in this community who are in need. These contributions are truly heartwarming,” said Mayor Sandra Bradbury.

ABOUT THE ANGEL FUND: The Pinellas Park Angel Fund Incorporated’s mission is to provide assistance to Pinellas Park households experiencing financial distress.  Assistance categories are 1) Rent/Mortgage; 2) Past due utilities; and 3) Scholarships for spring, summer, and winter school breaks.
