Where can I put a fence in my yard?

All fences are permitted up to the property line, with limitations to height. Height is determined by which zoning district your home is in. Most residential districts allow up to 4 feet tall in the front yard and 6 feet tall in the rear and sides. "F" Farm Zoning District allows up to 6 feet on all property lines.

Commercial and industrial fence heights also vary based upon Zoning District. All fencing must abide by the visibility triangle regulations around driveways and intersections. View more on Fencing Regulations.
