Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence can happen to anyone and it is present in every community, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, socioeconomic status, religion, or nationality. In the United States, over 10 million adults experience domestic violence annually. Please wear something purple on October 1st & October 21st to show your support for those who have been affected by domestic violence.

If you are in an abusive relationship, remember:

• It is NOT your fault
• Help is available

Come join us for lunch and a fun afternoon of Bingo at the Senior Center. Lunch is served from 11:15am to 12pm. You get a homemade lunch-only $4 and Bingo goes from 1pm-3pm.

German American Society Oktoberfest

It's time to celebrate Oktoberfest! Join the German American Society of Pinellas County (8098 66th St. N.) for 2 weekends in October (Oct 1st & 2nd - Oct 8th & 9th from 5pm-10pm) for the society's largest event (also called Tampa Bay's most authentic Oktoberfest)! This awesome event features live German Music, a variety of imported beers, homemade cuisine, and popular German Vendors. Celebrate that feeling of warmth and friendship called "Gemütlichkelt" with your friends and family from Tampa Bay and beyond. Enjoy the event & be German for the day at Oktoberfest!

Pinellas Park Concerts In The Park

The concert lineup on Friday, October 1, 2021 will be as follows:

Shot of Courage Band - 6:00-7:00 pm
Angie Rey Band - 7:15 - 8:15 pm
Chad Montana Band - 8:30 - 9:45 pm

The concert lineup on Saturday, October 2, 2021 will be as follows:

HEADLINER: TRACY LAWRENCE - 8:00 pm
Pirate Flag 6 - 7:30 pm
School of Rock 4:45 - 5:30 pm

Food, soft drinks and beer will be available for purchase and proceeds will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Pinellas Park and the Pinellas Park Kiwanis Club. The event will also include limited crafters/vendors.

Lawn chairs permitted, but coolers not allowed.
