Hello, My name is Corporal James Gatti, and I have been a Police Officer with the City of Pinellas Park since 1999. Since joining the police department, I have become an instructor in the Basic Police Curriculum, Defensive Tactics, Driving, Active Assailant, and Field Training. Additionally, I am a certified State and Attorney General CPTED Practitioner. I am a Suncoast Crime Prevention board member and served as President in 2022. Before joining the Pinellas Park Police Department, I worked in Detention/Corrections on the county and state levels.
I have resided in Pinellas County since 1980, moving here from New York. I have been part of the "Pinellas Park" community and graduated from Pinellas Park High School in 1992. I attended college, received my Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, and plan to further my education.
I'm very excited to serve as the Corporal of the redesigned Pinellas Park Police Community Policing/Crime Prevention Unit and as the primary contact for the businesses and citizens residing in Zone 5 (northeast) district of the city of Pinellas Park.
